Diagnosis-led care for acne, eczema, psoriasis, pigmentation, vitiligo, infections and other skin, hair and nail conditions, by Dr. Dhwani Shah (Vakta).

Derma Wellness · Ahmedabad

Healthy skin starts with the right diagnosis.

Many skin problems look alike but need very different treatment. A rash may be eczema, a fungal infection or psoriasis, and the wrong cream can make it worse. Our skin disease treatment in Ahmedabad always begins with a proper examination by a qualified dermatologist.

Once we know the cause, we build a clear, evidence-based plan with prescription care, in-clinic procedures where they help, and honest timelines. No unnecessary products, no fixed packages.

Frequently asked questions.

What is clinical dermatology? +

Clinical dermatology is the medical diagnosis and treatment of skin, hair and nail diseases, such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, pigmentation, vitiligo, infections and allergies. It focuses on treating the cause, not just the appearance.

Which skin diseases do you treat? +

We treat acne and acne scars, pigmentation and melasma, eczema, psoriasis, vitiligo, fungal and bacterial infections, rosacea and sensitive skin, urticaria and allergies, warts, moles and skin tags, and hair and scalp conditions.

Do I need blood tests for my skin problem? +

Not always. Tests are suggested only when they help, for example hormone tests for adult acne, or iron and thyroid tests for hair fall. Your dermatologist will explain why any test is needed.

Are steroid creams safe? +

Prescribed correctly, for the right area and duration, they are safe and very effective. Problems arise from unsupervised long-term use of strong over-the-counter steroid creams, which can thin the skin and worsen infections.

How long does skin disease treatment take? +

It depends on the condition. Infections may clear in a few weeks, acne plans usually run 8 to 12 weeks, and conditions like eczema, psoriasis and vitiligo need longer-term management with regular reviews.

Is a skin disease contagious? +

Most common skin conditions, such as eczema, psoriasis, vitiligo and acne, are not contagious. Some infections, like ringworm, scabies and warts, can spread, which is why an accurate diagnosis matters.
