No. Most patients describe it as a warm, relaxing massage. Skin temperature is monitored throughout the session and the handpiece has built-in cooling, so it stays comfortable.
Most people need a course of about 4 to 6 sessions, usually spaced one to two weeks apart. Your doctor will recommend the right number for your skin and the area being treated, and may suggest occasional maintenance sessions.
