How PRP actually works
A small sample of your blood is spun in a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets — cells rich in growth factors. This plasma is then injected into the scalp with fine needles, where the growth factors stimulate weakening hair follicles to re-enter their growth phase. Because it is your own blood, there is no allergy or rejection risk.
Who PRP helps — and who it won't
- Works best for: early to moderate thinning, a widening parting, reduced density, hair fall after stress, illness or pregnancy.
- Works less well for: long-standing bald patches where follicles have died. PRP revives weak follicles; it cannot resurrect absent ones. If your loss is too advanced, an honest clinic will tell you so.

What to expect
- Course: 4–6 sessions, spaced about a month apart.
- Session time: ~45 minutes, with numbing cream first.
- Reduced hair fall: typically by session 2–3.
- Visible density: months 4–6 — we track it with photographs.

Does it hurt? Is there downtime?
With numbing, most patients describe mild pressure rather than pain. You can return to work the same day; mild scalp tenderness for a few hours is normal. Avoid washing the scalp for 24 hours.
